The United States of America has promised to supply Ukraine with more weapons worth 800 million U.S. dollars.
These will include artillery, armored vehicles, and helicopters.
After talks with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, the U.S. President, Joe Biden said “The Ukrainian military has used the weapons we are providing to devastating effect.”
He added, “As Russia prepares to intensify its attack in the Donbas region, the United States will continue to provide Ukraine with the capabilities to defend itself.”
In addition to the weapons already supplied, Ukraine will now receive additional capabilities, including artillery systems and armored vehicles, the White House said.
Ukraine is also to receive additional helicopters, the U.S. had last confirmed the delivery of helicopters before the war.
