I want to be a nurse – Six-year-old schoolgirl reading by ATM light

A 6-years old pupil, Dele Rasheed pictured doing her assignment by the light of an Automated Teller Machine gallery of a bank branch at Yaba area of Ondo due to a blackout in her house has expressed her interest to become a nurse in the future.

The photo of the primary 1 pupil had gone viral, eliciting different reactions from the online community.

She told PUNCH in an interview that she hopes to become a nurse so she would be able to cater for sick persons.

She said, “I will like to become a nurse because of their white uniform. I like them because they take care of people that are sick.

Dele who lives with her grandmother disclosed that she had always been visiting the bank everytime there is power blackout in her house.

Meanwhile, her grandmother, Mrs Samuel Veronica mentioned that although she discouraged Dele from going to the ATM gallery to do her assignment, the little girl insisted.

She added that Dele over to God for protection, believing that nothing would happen to her.
