EndSARS Report: Many Inconsistencies says Lagos State Counsel

The counsel to Lagos State Government at the Panel of Inquiry on EndSARS, Mr. Kayode Enitan (SAN) says the released #EndSARS panel report contains “too many inconsistencies”.

He said this in an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily monitored by our reporter.

Enitan addressed the controversies trailing the leaked report on October 20, 2020, Lekki incident, saying some of the findings and recommendations of the panel as revealed in the leaked report are not based on evidence.

“What I can say to you, is that having read that report, I can assure you clearly that there were discrepancies. For instance, on page 287, the Panel found medical evidence from Dr. Lawson and Dr. Aranmolate of Reddington Hospital and Grandville Trauma Centre respectively reported at least one death at both facilities, which is not true,” he said.

He stressed the need to wait for the Lagos State Government’s White Paper on the report saying “It is the White Paper that we are all supposed to be discussing, not the report.”

The SAN also stated that the Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has set up a panel to review the hardcopy reports within two weeks.
