Ukraine-Russia: Another batch of evacuees arrive in Nigeria

Another batch of 306 Nigerian students has returned from Ukraine.

They arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja around 00:30 am on Sunday.

Their arrival brings the total number of evacuees to 1,076 since the exercise began on Friday.

The first batch had 415, the second 180 and the third 174.

The latest evacuees arrived via Air Peace Boeing 777-300 Flight APK7534 from Budapest, Hungary.

The Federal Government has also set in motion arrangements for the evacuation of Nigerian students in Sumy.

This follows the intervention of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, who spoke with his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba on how to quickly evacuate Nigerians in Sumy.

According to a report, there are over 500 Nigerian students in Sumy.
