Tragedy: Ex South African footballer star assassinated

Former South African football star and TV pundit, Marc Bachelor has been gunned down in his car as he arrived his home in Olivedale, Johannesburg, at around 6pm on Monday.

According to the Cops at the crime scene, the South African star was murdered by two suspected motorbike assassins who opened fire through his window before fleeing.

Police spokesperson, Lt-Col Lungelo Dlamini said, “Police are investigating a murder case after a former soccer player, Marc Bachelor was attacked by two men driving a motorbike in Olivedale outside his house.

“He was shot several times and died inside his vehicle. The suspects then drove away without taking anything.”

“The motive for the attack is still unknown. No one has been arrested,” he added.

Batchelor, a former striker with South African side Kaizer Chiefs, had previously feuded with Pistiorius before the Paralympian was jailed for murdering girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

It would be recalled that Oscar Pistorius, a double leg amputee who became the first parolympic athlete to compete in the Olympic games, had once threatened to break the deceased legs.
