Emir Sanusi to welcome fourth wife, 22, to his home

Emir Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, at the weekend formally welcomed to his home his fourth wife four years after she was given in marriage to him.

Sanusi II had on September 25, 2015, married the Adamawa – born princess and daughter to Lamido Adamawa, Muhammadu Barkindo-Musdafa, in a low key Royal wedding held in Yola.

The emir currently has three other wives, namely (first wife) Sadiya, daughter of the late emir of Kano, Ado Bayero, Maryam and Rukayya.

Sa’adatu Barkindo Mustapha who is the fourth wife to Sanusi II tied the nuptial bond with the monarch at 18 on completion of her secondary school education in 2015.

Sa’adatu Barkindo Mustapha, the fourth wife of the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, at the weekend, formally joined her husband four years after tying the nuptial bond.

Already, the Emir of Kano has three other wives, namely (first wife) Sadiya, daughter of the late emir of Kano, Ado Bayero, Maryam and Rukayya.

The Fulani princess immediately after the wedding further proceeded to a university in the United Kingdom where she graduated with a specialty on humanity.

Sa’adatu Barkindo Mustapha was brought to the Emir’s palace on Saturday while the traditional “Budar Kai” (symbolic unveiling of the bride) ceremony will place on Sunday.

In the ceremony, the bride will be introduced to other co-wives and other princesses in the palace.
