The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested immediate-past Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano.
He was apprehended at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport Lagos while on his way to Houston, Texas in the United States base.
EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren confirmed the arrest.
“It’s true,” he told reporters last night, adding that Obiano was in the commission’s custody at its Lagos office.
Obiano, who has been on the Commission’s watchlist, was reportedly arrested at about 8.30 pm.
His arrest came a few hours after he handed over to Governor Charles Soludo.
