Christians to begin 2021 pilgrimage on June 15 in Abuja

The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), has said the commission will begin its 2021 main pilgrimage to Jordan and Israel in Abuja from June 15, 2022.

Executive Secretary of the NCPC, Rev. Yakubu Pam, made this announcement yesterday during a virtual meeting with states’ pilgrimage leaders and managers.

He said: “The inaugural flight will comprise the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Bayelsa, and other essential service providers, such as the medical personnel, and consular, among others.”

In a statement by the commission’s Head of Media and Public Relations, Celestine Toruka, the NCPC boss explained that about 360 intending pilgrims would make up the first batch.

Pam said the airlift of the second batch of the pilgrimage will be on June 24, 2022, in Abuja and would comprise the FCT, Bauchi, and Nasarawa states’ contingents.

He also hinted that the 2021 main pilgrimage route would go through Nigeria, Jordan, Israel, and back to the country.
