Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State on Saturday, March 30, presented instrument and staff of office to the new monarch of Ado-Odo, an Aworiland, Oba Olushola Lamidi Osolo, as the new Olofin.
The landmark ceremony was graced by dignitaries and community members alike amid heartfelt speeches and pledges of unity and progress from the people.
Abiodun who was represented at the occasion by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ganiyu Hazmat, said the emergence of Oba Olushola followed due process.
The governor commended the resilience displayed throughout the rigorous selection process and urged the community to rally behind their new monarch for the advancement of Ado-Odo.
“Let me therefore call on all people of Ado -Ado-Odo community to rally round and cooperate with the new kabiyesi so that Ado-Odo community will continue on his part of progress and development”.
