We have a new Nigeria ahead of us, Osinbajo says

Vice-President and one of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirants, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday said his experience in the last seven years had prepared him to lead a new Nigeria.

He made his statement during a meeting with some members of the APC at Oregun, Lagos.

Osinbajo was warmly received by Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat and the party faithful.

He said a new Nigeria beckoned ahead of the nation.

His words, “I’m certain that with God’s help, we’ll achieve a new Nigeria. I have served for seven years as the Vice-President. In those years, I have worked under President Muhammadu Buhari, who in many ways ensured that I was exposed to many things in governing a complex and diverse country such as Nigeria. I’ve also acted as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at various times.

“The truth of the matter is that God does not make mistakes. The reason God gave me those experiences is that a time will come when our country will need new leadership and that time has come. It is time now… God help us, we’ll achieve a new Nigeria and all of us will see it.”

He solicited votes from delegates during Sunday’s primaries, saying their votes would ensure the birth of a new Nigeria.
