Ojelabi Urges Peaceful Conduct As Lagos APC Holds Reps Primaries

The Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, Cornelius Ojelabi, has called on party members to maintain peace, orderliness and discipline during the House of Representatives primaries taking place across Lagos ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Ojelabi urged APC members and supporters to conduct themselves responsibly while participating in the exercise to elect candidates for the state’s 24 federal constituencies. He also commended party faithful for their loyalty and continued support for the APC and its programmes.

The Lagos APC chairman assured members that adequate security arrangements had been put in place to guarantee a safe and peaceful process before, during and after the primaries. He also stated that the party had provided a level-playing field for all aspirants contesting in the exercise.

Warning against violence and acts capable of causing division within the party, Ojelabi said the APC would not tolerate intimidation, sabotage or disruption during the primaries.

He further cautioned aspirants to control their supporters, stressing that any aspirant linked to violence or unrest could face sanctions, including disqualification, suspension or expulsion from the party in line with the peace accord signed ahead of the exercise.
