NYSC seeks stakeholders’ help to make corpers entrepreneurs

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has sought partnerships with various stakeholders to enable members of the Corps Entrepreneurs to actualize their dreams.

The scheme plans to re-invigorate and deepen the impact of the NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program for the benefit of its members.

NYSC Director-General Brig.-Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim said this in Abuja at the kick-off of the 2021 NYSC SAED Festival in which corps members across the country participated.

Ibrahim described the festival as a platform for showcasing the innovation and ingenuity of corps members wishing to actualize their dreams of becoming young entrepreneurs who will not only strive in the development of small and medium scale enterprises (SMSEs) but also inspire other youths towards self-employment.

In a statement by the Deputy Director of Press and Public Relations of the NYSC, Emeka Mgbemena, Gen. Ibrahim said: “Over the next few days, these young men and women will be competing in the display of skills in fashion design, baking/confectionaries, leatherworks, bead-making, tie and dye, as well as Information and Communication Technology (ICT).”
