God’s Mercy saved Nigeria from mass Coronavirus deaths, says Adeboye

The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said that God’s mercy prevented Coronavirus (COVID-19) from causing huge loss of lives in Nigeria.

Adeboye said this on the pulpit yesterday during the first Sunday service in November with the theme: Better Days Ahead.

He noted that compared to what happened in developed countries, it was obvious that God has been merciful to Nigeria.

The cleric urged Nigerians not to relent from praying for God’s mercy and protection as the world is fighting hard to overcome the pandemic.

He added that Nigeria should not take God’s mercy for granted, adding that in all things, Nigerians should give God the glory.

“When Coronavirus (COVID-19) broke at the beginning of the year, all advanced countries said, ‘Oh God, when this thing comes to Africa, they will be dying like chickens.’ They said it. It is not that they thought it.”

“Why did they say so? It’s because they know we do not have any resource to handle what was coming. They saw what was happening to them. They were dying by the thousands with all their expertise, all their wealth.”
