Coronavirus: Davido suspends North American tour

Nigerian artiste, David Adeleke aka Davido has suspended his ongoing international tour due to the outbreak of coronavirus also known as COVID-19.

This means his sold-out concerts scheduled to take place in North America has been cancelled in the wake of the pandemic.

According to the singer, the outbreak of coronavirus forced him to suspend the tour over the safety of his crew members and fans as the disease has now become a global crisis.

The singer, who disclosed this, an hour after performing in Denver, Colorado, US, however admitted that it is the right thing to do and that the safety of his fans and staff is most important at this moment.

He wrote: “I’m saddened to halt what has been a fantastic sold-out tour so far, but postponing is the right thing to do. The health and safety of my fans and staff is most paramount and nothing else matters. Be safe and see you all soon! God be with us all!”

The concert suspension comes days after Davido’s 2017 track titled ‘Fall’ garnered 40 million streams on the world’s leading digital streaming music platform, Spotify.
