Be committed to Nigeria’s development – AU-NEPAD

The African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) has advised workers in the public and private sectors to display a commitment to Nigeria’s development.

Chief Executive Officer of AUDA-NEPAD Princess Gloria Akobundu said this in a statement in Abuja through her Media Assistant, Mr. Abolade Ogundimu.

According to her, workers’ input in both public and private sectors, when properly harnessed, would promote development.

”The private sector should look beyond their incomes or profits.

“It does not matter whether you are a self-employed, private or public employee or employer, the task to uplift the country is the responsibility of all citizens.

“Nigeria and other nations around the world are facing challenges from the impact of COVID-19, economic meltdown among others, but with the patriotic zeal of the labor force, we can turn our challenges into opportunities.

‘’Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) have their mandates targeting the development of the nation, but they can be better attained through renewed commitment by the workforce”, she said.
