2023 is reward time for Tinubu- Kwara governor, senator

An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Senator Abu Ibrahim has said that next year’s presidential election will be North’s payback time for the standard bearer, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Ibrahim said the region will vote for the former Lagos State governor in appreciation of his positive disposition to previous flag bearers from the North.

Ibrahim spoke in Katsina, the capital of Katsina State when he visited the APC Governorship Campaign office.

He recalled how Tinubu supported the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, when he contested under the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and how he also supported President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 and 2019.

Ibrahim said Tinubu would replicate the wonderful work he did in Lagos if given the mandate.

Also, Governor AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State said Tinubu’s records of achievements and capacity to build a formidable team qualified him to be the next president.

AbdulRazaq spoke at a symposium marking the unveiling of the YASIN for Tinubu/Shettima Presidency and AbdulRazaq/Kayode Governorship 2023 – an initiative of Alhaji Najeem Yasin, the Deputy President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC).

He said: “When you are to select candidates for a political party or president for Nigeria, what people should look out for are track records of candidates, what they have been able to do in previous offices, or the goodwill they will bring to that office.”
