TV host, Larry King is set to end his eighth marriage after filling for divorce from his seventh wife Shawn King, 59, in LA Superior Court on Tuesday.
It’s being claimed that it was the TV icon’s sons who convinced him to start divorce proceedings after Shawn wanted to gain ownership of their property.
The 85-year-old married the 59-year-old actress in 1997 and they share two adult sons together but their marriage has reportedly been on the rocks for the past few years amid cheating rumors and a battle over ownership of their property.
It’s being claimed that it was Larry’s sons Cannon and Chance who persuaded him to split from Shawn once and for all after they accused their mother of trying to gain rights over certain property that would negatively affect them.
The TV personality filed court documents in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, TMZ reports. He cited irreconcilable differences and the date of separation was listed as June 6, 2019.
Larry has reportedly accused Shawn of being unfaithful to him, with rumors swirling of a cheating scandal back in 2010 and 2016, but the tension in their relationship finally reached a breaking point when the TV host underwent heart surgery earlier this year.
