President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to inaugurate several major projects executed by the Lagos State Government during a two-day visit to the state.
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said the visit highlights the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, economic growth, and improved living standards.
Among the projects slated for inauguration is the Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge, a 5.04-kilometre road network designed to ease traffic congestion across key corridors in Ikeja, including Ojota, Maryland, Mende, Opebi, and Allen. The project, conceived over two decades ago, was revived and completed by the current administration to improve connectivity and reduce travel time.
Also on the list is the Alausa Multi-Agency Complex, a four-block facility created to house multiple government agencies in one location. The project is expected to enhance inter-agency coordination, streamline operations, and improve service delivery.
In the education sector, the President will inaugurate the redeveloped Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle, which comprises 36 schools serving about 20,000 students. The project includes modern classrooms, ICT hubs, laboratories, vocational training centres, sports facilities, and disability-friendly structures aimed at improving learning conditions.
Other projects include the Lagos State Geographic Information Service building and a mid-level agro-produce hub along the Lekki-Epe corridor, both designed to support economic activities and urban development.
Omotoso noted that the projects reflect strategic investments across key sectors and demonstrate alignment between federal and state governments in driving development.
Authorities have also announced traffic and security arrangements ahead of the visit, with the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority deploying additional personnel to ensure minimal disruption. Residents have been advised to plan their movements accordingly.
