Police deploy anti-bomb squad after Owo church attack

Officials of the Explosive Ordinance Device Unit (anti-bomb squad) have been recruited to the scene of yesterday’s attack in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Commissioner of Police, Oyeyemi Oyediran said he deployed the unit to protect residents from further harm and restore peace.

Spokesperson of the Command, Funmilayo Odunlami dropped the hint in a statement yesterday in Akure.

The CP explained that efforts were being intensified to arrest the perpetrators of the evil act.

He said: “The command is aware of the attack at Owo, we will give you the full details of the incident later.

“We want to implore the people of the state to be calm as all security apparatus are currently active to ensure peace in the area.”
