Ojukwu Left Before Ataga’s Body was Found

Abubakar Mohammed, the security guard at the service apartment where SuperTV Chief Executive Officer, Usifo Ataga was murdered, upheld his earlier testimony that the first defendant, Chidinma Ojukwu left a night before Ataga’s body was found.

Mohammed reiterated this yesterday, at the cross-examination by counsel to the first defendant, Onwuka Egwu before Justice Yetunde Adesanya at a Lagos High Court sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square.

Ojukwu, a 300-level Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos is being prosecuted for the murder alongside her sister, Chioma Egbuchu, and one Adedapo Quadri.

At the resumed hearing yesterday, the witness said Miss Ojukwu left the apartment on Tuesday night and did not return to the premises even after the body was found.

Mohammed said that when the defendant was leaving, he was at his duty post, she waved at him and entered an Uber car.

He also told the court that he did not get the full view of the victim, Ataga, when he came into the premises because the victim was inside his vehicle.

The witness added that a dispatch rider came once to the house and that he gave the first defendant a small parcel which he did not know the content.

Justice Adesanya adjourned the case until November 25.
