High tension line: NEMA warns Lagosians on fallen line at Idimu

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has warned motorists plying the Idimu-Isheri Road in Lagos to be careful around the path due to the high tension cable that fell on the road.

NEMA’s acting Zonal Coordinator in South West, Ibrahim Farinloye, gave this charge in a statement he issued yesterday in Lagos.

“Drivers plying Idimu-Isheri road in Lagos have been urged to exercise utmost caution around the corridor due to the high tension/power line cable that fell on the road/Isheri roundabout axis.

“This has caused heavy traffic on the corridor,” Farinloye said.

He stated that though the power supply to the area was presently out, NEMA had, however, contacted the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to ensure that the area remained isolated.

According to him, the situation will continue until proper repair works are done on the line to ensure the safety of lives and property of residents of the area.
