English Royalty: Why the Queen keeps her favourite meal secret– reports

British monarch, Queen Elizabeth has been reputed to be UK’s best-travelled monarch and has dined in some of the most exotic corners of the Earth.

The 93-year-old monarch has travelled all over the globe during her reign, visited numerous world leaders, and sampled countless different countries’ culinary specialities which has made many people may wonder what the Queen likes to eat – and whether her favourite fare is taken into account on menus abroad.

With many wondering why the English Queen never discusses her favourite food whenever she travels, there seems to be one very good reason the Queen never discusses her favourite food when she travels.

According to the Express, a royal insider has revealed that the Queen would not disclose her favourite meal because the monarch fears that if she reveals her meal of choice, those hosting her will serve nothing else when she visits.

Formal royal correspondent for The Telegraph, Gordon Rayner, who has covered more than 20 royal tours said, “As one of her staff told me, ‘If she said she had a favourite meal she would never get served anything else.”

Speaking on a tasty snack that the monarch is known to enjoy, Queen Elizabeth’s former personal chef and author of ‘Eating Royally’, Darren McGrady, told baking website RecipePlus, “Now the Chocolate Biscuit Cake is the only cake that goes back again and again and again every day until it’s all gone.”
