The Lagos State Development and Property Corporation has launched PayPortal, a digital platform that allows customers to make property-related payments online 24 hours a day.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of LSDPC, Ayodeji Joseph, said the initiative was introduced in response to changing customer expectations and the growing use of digital technology.
Joseph said PayPortal was designed to remove traditional barriers to payment while improving accessibility, convenience and efficiency in the corporation’s dealings with customers and stakeholders.
He explained that the platform would provide an additional payment channel, allowing customers to complete transactions without being restricted to physical interactions. Payments can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with instant confirmation.
The LSDPC boss said the platform was part of the corporation’s wider effort to modernise its operations and adapt to the changing ways Lagos residents interact with public institutions.
Joseph said customers using the platform would need to visit the PayPortal website, create a username and password, provide the required details and proceed with their payments. However, he clarified that the digital system would initially operate alongside the existing manual payment process.
The Head of LSDPC’s Information Technology Department, Monisola Oyewo, said the portal was developed with strong security and user experience standards. She added that it was designed to reduce transaction difficulties while protecting customers’ sensitive financial information.
