APC Chieftain Samuel Ajose Declares Ambition for Lagos Governorship

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Samuel Ajose has formally declared his intention to contest the Lagos State governorship election in 2027, pledging to build on the achievements of past administrations in the state.

Ajose announced his ambition during a rally held at the Police College Ground in Lagos, where he addressed party members and supporters drawn from different parts of the state.

He described his declaration as a commitment to continue the progressive legacy that has shaped Lagos over the years, while introducing fresh ideas aimed at accelerating development and improving the quality of life for residents.

Ajose said his vision for Lagos aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which he noted focuses on economic growth, innovation and inclusive development.

He also emphasised the need for stronger political mobilisation ahead of future elections, urging party supporters to intensify efforts to secure another presidential term for Tinubu.

Representing the state APC chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, the party’s deputy chairman Moshood Mayegun described Ajose as a strong aspirant and thanked supporters for their turnout at the rally.

Mayegun urged party members to remain committed to the APC and ensure they obtain their permanent voter cards in preparation for the upcoming elections.

The rally attracted traditional rulers, youth groups, women associations and religious organisations, particularly supporters from the Badagry Division.
